Celebrating 30 years of high-quality design, innovative development and customer support

AusProof, based in Gladstone, Queensland, was established in 1994 by Founding Directors Philip and Wendy Marks. Since opening its doors, AusProof has been committed to designing, developing and manufacturing safe, reliable and high-quality cable coupler solutions and accessories. This year, AusProof celebrates 30 years of high-quality design, innovative development and customer support.

Utilising 20 years of knowledge gained from study, research and experience to get AusProof on its feet, Philip met each challenge that came his way, seeing each ‘failure’ as a chance to improve.

‘Failure improves a product in the end,’ he says. ‘If you don’t have failures, you are not pushing it to the limit.’

Pushing products to their limit, doing their utmost to improve and innovate, all works towards ensuring each AusProof product is reliable and, above all, safe.

‘Customer safety is of such importance; we personally stand by our product, wherever it is in the world,’ says Wendy.

Over the past 30 years, AusProof’s research and development team has achieved a number of major milestones in the innovation of cable coupler technology. Notable milestones include the release of the world’s first and only 35-kilovolt coupler, and the development of the Removable Flange to reduce flame path maintenance downtime and associated costs. Also notable is the release of AusProof’s LED Live Line Indicator, improving brightness and visibility, while also expanding its use to open-air environments, and incorporating expanded beam technology to create the aluminium Fibre Optics Range.

Having already achieved so much over the past 30 years, AusProof shows no signs of slowing down – always searching for the next solution to be designed or the next improvement to make.

Seeking to provide industries around the world with access to safe, reliable and innovative high‑quality cable coupler solutions, AusProof has seen multiple international expansions over the years. First establishing international sister companies in Africa and South America in 2008, branches in the United States and the United Kingdom have since opened their doors, as well, to provide greater support, product accessibility, and supply chain stability to even more locations.

Though having grown in scale since its humble beginnings, AusProof never forgets where it came from – the uphill struggle and the thousands of small successes that got it to where it is today.

‘Hopefully the industry feels honoured that our little company is just in their backyard,’ says Managing Director Aston Marks. ‘We’re proud of it, and hopefully they can be proud of it, too.’

Whether your site is domestic or international, above or below ground, AusProof can help your site find the ideal cable coupler solution to meet your operational needs.
