Innovation in high- and low-voltage cable coupler solutions

AusProof is a family-owned and -operated original equipment manufacturer (OEM) that has been proudly supplying industries around Australia with cable coupler solutions since 1994.

Utilising 50 years of combined professional and operational experience, AusProof is committed to designing and developing safe, innovative, and high‑quality solutions to assist your site to meet its operational needs.

From humble beginnings, starting with just an 11-kilovolt aluminium coupler, AusProof now offers aluminium and stainless-steel cable couplers in a variety of voltages, thanks to the hard work of AusProof’s Research and Development team over the past 30 years.

AusProof offers restrained plugs and receptacles from 660 volts to 3300 volts, with receptacles available in up to three different release options depending on their range. The Ex118BSS and Ex118BSSRF are AusProof’s 11-kilovolt, ex-certified, high-voltage couplers, with non‑ex high‑voltage couplers ranging from 6.6 kilovolts all the way up to 35 kilovolts.

Whether it’s releasing restrained ranges, incorporating fibre optics, developing a removable flange to assist with flamepath maintenance, or designing the world’s first and only 35-kilovolt coupler, it is part of AusProof’s DNA to design, develop, improve, and innovate in order to meet the needs of an ever‑evolving industry. From internal ideas to taking on client requests and listening to feedback, AusProof is dedicated to pushing the boundaries and exploring the unknowns of cable coupler design and development, even installing its own in-house high-voltage testing laboratory in 2023.

It’s not just couplers that AusProof continues to improve and innovate, but features and accessories too, such as the LED Live Line Indicator, redesigned once again in 2024 to now sit flush with the coupler body, reducing the required maintenance to keep the indicator clean and clearly visible. AusProof’s CAT Skid has also been redesigned multiple times, after both internal review and customer feedback, to now utilise a ‘mix and match’ design, making it compatible with all of AusProof’s high-voltage couplers, both new and old.

AusProof prides itself on its customer service and support, with representatives travelling to sites all across Australia, as well as attending trade shows and events, and meeting with members of the industry to discuss their needs in order to learn how AusProof can help a site achieve its goals.

As no equipment or machinery can be expected to perform without correct handling and maintenance, AusProof also offers a series of short courses, ideal for toolbox talks, aimed at increasing product longevity, preventing damage and boosting site safety through a better understanding AusProof products.
